Play Dough!

What child doesn't love play dough!?  I have yet to meet one.

Today we made some new orange play dough together after circle time.

Make Your Own Play Dough

you will need:

2 cups flour

1/2 cup salt

1 TBSP cream of tartar

2 TSBP oil

2 cups water

desired amount of liquid food coloring

Measure 2 cups of flour and pour them in a mixing bowl...

Then add 1/2 cup salt...

 ...and 1TBSP Cream of Tartar...

 Get a good helper to mix that all together...

 Heat 2 TBSP of oil in a pot;

measure 2 cups of water and add desired amount of liquid food coloring to it;

add colored water to hot oil, and then add the flour/salt/tartar mixture...

 Stir constantly...

 ...until the dough forms into a ball...

 Remove from heat promptly, onto some wax paper to cool...

Then knead it...

 ...and ENJOY!

*make sure to store play dough in refrigerator between each use*
